Daffodils, Yellow Belles, and Herding…

The fourth Tuesday of each month is Friendly Neighborhood Club!  This a local group of mostly retired  folks that meet , have a program, and a meal once a month…at Piney Grove UMC Fellowship Hall , in Jackson Creek …(My Pea Patch)  yes one day I will tell you that one!:)

We had a wonderful meal and  great time of fun fellowship and beautiful music!

Oh by my my Ghosts and Memories were everywhere! I was the Building Contractor for the fellowship hall…I remember Daddy, Grandpa, Worth Winslow, the Women’s Society, the bike ride to raise funds, the quilt project the I’ll donate 500.00 I will donate 1000.00 campange 🙂 LOL Grandpa could raise some money!

I remember our wedding and dressing  in the fellowship hall, my sweet Aunt grace and Best friend Betty Hunt Chandler…:) Grandma and Grandpas 50th wedding anniversary and Momma and Daddy’s 30th! |

Weddings and Funerals Big Dinners on the 4th Sunday in August…So many things!

But Tuesday there were door prizes and I did not win one! My friend Glenn Hulin did! and I was admiring his prize! He said Kay you take it home with you and enjoy it! I have plenty at home! OH MY Goodness! REALLY Serious? ! Yes! Well take a look at what my good friend gave me!

001 002Compliments of my best friends Mother Juanita Winslow!

Today our good friend and Herding buddy came up! Ernie Borders and his good dog Artie! We spent the morning gathering and sorting sheep and checking them all over real good!

Ernie had to miss sheep camp because of some family business he helped his brother with in Georgia…
So Artie got to work sheep and did a real good job! He is a fine dog! Maybe a big puppy 🙂 but a fine Aussie!

Ernie and Artie do a good job and are a great team!  It is rewarding to see how they have grown to work together over the last 3 years! Good Job Artie and Ernie!

We wormed the sheep and checked tails ( I banded the lambs tails weeks ago) and most have now fallen off! Or will soon!

It is so much more fun and encouraging to have someone to herd with! It helps keep me focused and makes me want to work more!

We worked in the pens with the dogs and then Drover got to work on driving.

He did real good and hopefully we will soon be ready to try level III in AHBA Herding.

After lunch I headed to the beauty shop and have a new hair cut and color!

Next week Ernie and I are heading to Snow Hill to pick up the new ram from Marlene (IF the weather holds)

What a fine day this was! Daffodils and Herding!!!!!
