Monday Picnic with Laree…

Monday afternoon I took a Picnic lunch to Larree…

In our imaginations we sat on the banks of Jackson Creek and had a right fancy Picnic…We had been out riding our horses all morning (in our minds) and found the cool grass, clean air and quiet rustle of the leaves in the tall trees refreshing. The birds were singing and of course our dogs, Sophie, Scout , Ranger (Laree’s three) and Drover, Montanna, Abilene, Amarillo, BOO, and Timber (my six)  were in quiet but happy attendance! …The horses grazed happily as we sat down to a fall themed meal.

We had a fall table topper with leaves, a few small pumpkins and a Scare crow in overalls for decorations! Fancy real napkins in orange …Gold silverware , fancy dishes and gold colored glasses (filled with delicious strawberry iced tea)  Our food was Glazed pecans, crasins, goats cheese, and other fancy flavored cheeses, along with fancy crackers…Homemade pickles, peach preserves and for dessert oatmeal cookies filled with cream cheese icing! (all this is true except for the location) 🙂

Laree and I spent the afternoon visiting and chatting about friends, family, dogs, herding, agility, horses, and things…

I do not know when I have spent a more pleasant afternoon.

I could see Laree was tiring…I hated to leave…But knew she needed her rest..

Wednesday morning Laree will have surgery to implant a heart pump into her body to keep her heart working until a suitable Heart Transplant can be done.  Please be in much prayer and send healing thoughts to Laree and her family during this difficult time.

Thank you!

Kay

What a beautiful time you describe. She must be in the midst of her operation right now. I am sending good energy and hopes for a good outcome. Martha
