BOO is going with Drover Les and I to a AHBA Trial in Pittsboro NC this weekend for a 2 day herding trial!
BOO’s first trial…She is entered in HTAD level I sheep…
We have been working on gathering! She is a driver naturally!
Drover is entered in level III HTAD and will be working for his title and points! He is a natural gatherer! (We have been working on driving)
HTAD stands for Herding Trial Arena Dog. Level I is the beginning level and you have more ability to go with your dog and assist it. Level III you stand at a post and direct the dog from there.
If you are in the area come on out and watch the trial. It should be fun and educational! There will be sheep runs and duck runs! Lots of dogs!
