Tuesday Evening… simple country pleasures

No words to describe how good it is to be a live human being…walking on the earth and enjoying all God has created for us!

As I came down the hill  from the Shepherd’s Cottage with all my dogs…They were enjoying being dogs! I noticed the smell of wood smoke in the air…The memories that smell brings to mind are all good…Imagine very cold weather and sitting by the wood stove all warm and cozy in your favorite comfortable chair (you know that peaceful but not exactly sleepy feeling you get) with your loved ones round you chatting and enjoying each others company after a wonderful but simple meal …a full tummy … complete it all  with warm Persimmon Pudding for dessert! That is the feeling I had…

Off in the distance I could hear the bells on my little flock of sheep as they contentedly grazed their evening meal…It is a pure country pleasure to hear the bells tinkling softly on the light breeze…

The air was brisk but not uncomfortable…Cold …but not bad…Good working weather as Grandpa and Grandma use to say!

The sky was clear and brightly lit by the stars and planets ! The Big Dipper was clearly showing off tonight!  As I walked along the frogs and crickets were performing their symphony nothing comes close to this beautiful sound, at this time of night!

I was so amazed by God’s presence His goodness and His wonderful beyond words ….Creation!

The puppies Gus, Jackson and Tess were all about  me…Running , rolling each other, and playing as only 10 week old puppies can. What entertainment! (No need of a comedy show) They provide it hourly!

The big dogs all so nice to each other and the puppies…

I just wanted to drink it all in…So I did!

Truly I am most blessed to live in Jackson Creek! It is a beautiful place! Still not touched much by time…
