Happenings at the farm…

Swoosh! That is what Spring and Summer have sounded like as they zipped by! 2017 has been busy for sure but the time seems to have disappeared!

In last 4 weeks we have held a very successful Jim Hartnagle Herding Clinic. Attended a Dog Breeding Seminar at the NC State Vet School on Genetics. Worked dogs, moved sheep and ducks. Doctored on about everything from 2 leggers to 4 legs!

Run sheep thru the foot bath. Mowed fields. We really need rain!

Went horse back riding.

Had friends over.

Went to a family reunion.

My KAT is doing awesome work! She is really something to see!  She is a good solid herding dog for sure!

We have had washers mess up. Water from the washer (not the messed up one) run on the cottage floor and we had to replace the rug. Vents had to be installed.

Phone numbers changed!

A 3 day quick trip to the gulf (Houston area) the day before the hurricane came on shore.

I made 36 jars of fig preserves! Yum!

My wonderful sweet brother Kenneth (btw…I named that little rascal! I bet he has no idea how he got the name Kenneth)  cleaned out ditches for us and since then there has been no rain to run in them! We really, really need rain!

Fall is my favorite time of the year except for Spring my other favorite I am looking forward to the cooler working weather for the dogs and the sheep. We have ewes that look like they may have triplets . They are due the 25th of October on.till the end of November…

I will have great help…Drover, BOO, KAT and my unnamed Drover BOO puppy!

I feel like this puppy! WHOA!
