Hidden Treasures…

When I was a girl , my Mother was the best decorator in the world. By doing she taught me colors and such. I learned to visualize things in my mind first before trying them out ! I all ways wanted a real play house but had to settle for playing in the woods and making my play house out of sticks and other things I found in the forest. I see now…that was best for me…because I would never had developed an imagination if I had the real full sized playhouse.

Well anyway…my brother Kenneth had all these toys and such that little brothers like to torment big sisters with… back in the day… One of his favorites was a plastic sword. He would wack me with it then act as if he had done nothing.  He also like to build models of cars, planes, tanks and such…Boy stuff…

I kept a desk my Mother had purchased in 1960 something I had all ways admired it and thought it beautiful…After Momma passed I moved it to the Shepherd’s Cottage and then a few weeks ago I imagined I needed a desk and where I would use one if I had one! Well…Les and I  moved it to the master bedroom in our home a few week ago. Finally I had the internet fixed and moved my computer to that desk.

Night before last I was working and opened the drawer that had worked fine until that moment. I pulled the drawer out to see what was the problem…And THERE IT was!  All this time! That plastic sword complete with teeth marks from my brother …At least that is my story!  And a paper about one of the tanks he had built from a scale model!

Hidden Treasure ! Such memories! That silly plastic sword!
